About the project

Branding and PM of the conference for ESRI, builders of ArcGIS, the world’s most powerful mapping and spatial analytics software, reflected the nature of it’s dynamic identity.

ESRI are world pioneers of problem solving with GIS and global leader in the field from 1969. Their Croatian distributors, GDi GISDATA, tasked us in creating the identity and complete PM for the 2014 conference, as they had no former experience with event organising.

We’ve designed a dynamic design system for all print and digital conference materials as well as venue branding. We’ve hosted Europe’s GIS leaders and Global president of ESRI Jack Dangermond in luxury escape of Le Méridien Split resort and helped our partners throughout the full event and different activities.

Taking action

ESRI was founded to help solve some of the world’s most difficult problems. We’ve reflected this concept in conference branding by using dynamic identity, making observer directly involved, provoking action and movement. Five lines in space are used as a base of the design system, supporting values of innovation, user-centricity and research-driven corporation with a global reach.

Subtle dances of color hues, trough gradients and rotations, allowed us to escape two-dimensional projections and break into space of super evolving field of GIS. Amazing architecture of Le Méridien Split helped us in translation of the dynamics of software development into subtle, but strong branding that proved to be a success.

We tell stories with maps of global warming and biodiversity; we can design more liveable cities and track the spread of epidemics. That makes a difference.
